Personal Affront

You look to hurt a trusting soul,
going off half crazed into your tirade.
The accusations that you've made
cut deeply, where no healing can be
affected. Words. They hurt; they heal
and they steal any dignity I may have
had left. Now in shame, I realize
I had allowed you to sully
my reputation; my name. Take your attack
back before I take this personally.

  1. I feel this. Happened to me out of the blue and on the middle step of a moving escalator, last week on a happy beautiful day, which was turned sour by the incident.
A stranger lashing out like you describe.Words do hurt, and their impact lasts.

I would appreciate feedback on my work. If we don't learn, we'll never grow.
